Through the initiative of the City Government of Valenzuela in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CAMANAVA, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, and One Mall Valenzuela – Hundreds of job seekers had the chance to obtain their ideal career at the MEGA JOB FAIR 2022 held at ONE MALL VALENZUELA, November 25.

A total of 678 applicants, including Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), college graduates, undergrads, and high school graduates, tried their luck at the MEGA JOB FAIR 2022 and took the opportunity on landing a job to support their family. There are roughly 43 employers made up of 39 local enterprises and 4 foreign employers seeking potential candidates to join their team.

Head of the PESO – Valenzuela Ms. Josephine Osea, DOLE CAMANAVA Director Rowella Grande, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Officer Rustico Mendrado Banal III welcomed the jobseekers telling them that the MEGA JOB FAIR 2022 wouldnt be possible if it werent for them. They also acknowledged Barangay Gen T. de Leon and One Mall Valenzuela for their cooperation in conducting the event.

In the meantime, 375 candidates were hired on the spot out of a total of 678 applicants. The MEGA JOB FAIR's hiring rate increased to 55.31%, thus making it a success. In those 375 candidates, four were Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) that were aided by FWD Insurance, Humanities and Inclusion (HI), and Leonard Cheshire Disability Philippines Foundation Inc. (LCDPF) under the Thrive Together Team, a non-profit organization that works to help improve the lives of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and individuals with hearing loss.

Pre-employment organizations, such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Department of Migrant Workers - Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (DMW-PEOS), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), PAG-IBIG FUND, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHILHEALTH), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), were set up to maintain orderliness and to reduce hassle and make the application process more convenient. They were positioned next to employee-searching businesses to facilitate quicker processing of the required documents.

This event is the continuation of the MEGA JOB FAIR organized last September 30, at the Wellness Entertainment and Sports (WES) Arena.
