It may be recalled that VADAC has been doing several initiatives and programs on drug awareness – one of those was the symposium held last October 7, 2022, which was joined by freshmen students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV). With this, the Local Government is doing every possible way to educate the students and disseminate information which involves awareness on the adverse effects of the prohibited drugs in their health and their lives. Moreover, there has been an established rehabilitation center inside the city called Balai Banyuhay, where lives that were torn by illegal drugs are being transformed into lives full of hopes and start-ups.

In order to fulfill the desire of the Local Government of Valenzuela City to provide a drug-free schools and community, the formulation of programs continues to completely end the long-standing drug problem in the city. The city also wants to serve as a safe home for its constituents that will take care of them and lead them to a higher standard of living
