A whopping crowd of 6000 Valenzuelano youth watched the live performances of 6 CycleMind, Ebe Dancel and Up Dharma Down (now known as UDD) who rocked the concert stage at the Valenzuela City Astrodome in Barangay Dalandanan on January 21.

In a short speech, Mayor REX Gatchalian said that the “Konsiyerto para sa Kabataang Valenzuelano” was held as a tribute to the youth who have shared invaluable contribution to the success of the city.

The free youth concert was part of the city’s kick-off celebration dubbed as, “Tuloy-tuloy na Asenso sa Birthday ni Mayor REX,” which aims to start the year strong by simultaneously inaugurating infrastructure projects and by conducting other socially beneficial programs.

Other significant events that were staged during the chief executive’s birthday month include the inauguration of two new schools – Justice Eliezer R. de los Santos National High School on January 18 and Veinte Reales National High School on January 19; two job fairs – at Valenzuela City Astrodome on January 20 and at Disiplina Village – Bignay on January 21; medical mission at Disiplina Village – Bignay on January 22; blood-letting activity at The City Hall on January 23; and a three-day Boy Scout and Girl Scout Jamborette in Barangay Bignay from January 27 to 29.
