"Civic Organizations Unite to Form VC Shares"

The City Government of Valenzuela under the leadership of Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian recognizes the need to uplift the lives of those in the grass root level of the society, issuing Executive Order No. 23 Series of 2007. It is an executive order creating and establishing unified alliance of organized socio-economic and civic organization committee in the City of Valenzuela, Metro Manila.

Thus, the Valenzuela City Shares or VC Shares was created to serve as a core of the alliance to unify and strengthen the socio-economic and civic sector. Launched last December 7, it aims to rally behind the administration’s programs of development by bringing together the ideas and resources of the organizations involved and to cooperate with them in order to accomplish the various socio-economic and civic objectives of the City and the involved organizations.

Through the years, within their respective spheres of influence and specialization, the socio-economic and civic organizations voluntarily embark on the community-base projects in uplifting the lives of those in the grass root level of society without expecting any form of reward or recognition In return. They have become not only true to life’s springs of hope to the distressed and underprivileged but also a consistent partner of the LGU.

Gracing the event are Coun. Boy Padrinao and Cong. Rex T. Gatchalian who wholeheartedly thanked the 23 civic organizations for continually supporting the programs of the city for the Valenzuelanos.
