The City offers a fast and efficient service that allows businesses to be up and running in no time.  An anti-red tape initiative called the VC Biz-Bilis was established to hasten business-related application processes, ensure comfort and convenience of taxpayers, and guarantee high-quality service.

 

Under the program, business permits application and renewal was streamlined from 11 exhaustive procedures into five (5) simple and easy steps, assuring the release of licenses and permits in about 20 minutes.

 

The Bulwagang Geronimo Angeles or Finance Center located at the New City Government Complex is Valenzuela City’s Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) that houses in close proximity from each other all the persons-in-charge for easy transactions.  Process flowcharts are also conspicuously placed at accessible areas inside the BOSS to guide applicants and taxpayers.

 

The application and permit forms for businesses were simplified, allowing the applicants to complete them in an instant.  Internal rules and procedures were also rationalized for faster processing and release of business permits, building permits, certificates of occupancy and other business-related documents, with the forms going through lesser signatories.

 

Computer internal systems are reviewed and evaluated in terms of accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness in enhancing quality of service and faster data processing.  

 

The program warrants post-inspection of the issued regulatory permits and clearances to double-check the owners’ faithful conformation to any regulatory measures and post-inspection requirements.  These include sanitation permits, locational clearances and fire safety inspection permit.  This is to ensure that only compliant and first-rate businesses subsist in the City.
