City Government: SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD

The Sangguniang Panlungsod is the legislative body and is the partner of the Mayor in governing the City.

Comprised of twelve (12) Council members; six (6) each elected from two (2) Districts of the City; the President of the Liga ng Mga Barangay, the President of the Sanguniang Kabataan Federation and the Vice-Mayor as the Presiding Officer, the Sangguniang Panlungsod has the sole responsibility for approving the City's budget.
