To formally mark the month of July as the first anniversary of Mayor REX Gatchalian’s leadership as the local chief executive of Valenzuela City, a grand motorcade of new government vehicles was held last Sunday, July 13.
 
A total of 189 vehicles worth Php 59 million were paraded on the major thoroughfares of Valenzuela City. All the automobiles showcased were purchased during the first year of tenure of Mayor REX.
 
Among the showcased service vehicles are 100 TMO motorbikes worth Php 7,600,000; two Valenzuela Police-on-Wheels (VPOW) trucks worth Php300,000; 40 police motorbikes worth Php5,000,000; four Task Force Disiplina cars worth Php 2,100,100; 25 WMO dump trucks worth Php 33,750,000; two Alagang Valenzuelano Mobile Diagnostic Clinics worth Php 1,995,000; one Mobile Dental and Women Wellness Van worth Php 2,220,000; one Mobile Botica worth Php 325,000; six Chikiting Patrol motorcabs worth Php 1,002,600; two mobile kitchens worth Php 2,000,000; one Mobile Portable Toilet/Shower worth Php 950,000; and five Building Permit cars worth Php 1,931,400.
 
The motorcade was preceded by a thanksgiving mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Barangay Marulas, and was concluded by a blessing ceremony at Puregold Parking Area in Barangay Dalandanan.
 
In a speech, Mayor REX reminded the employees to take good care of the newly purchased vehicles as these are fundamental in bringing aid to the constituents.
 
Employees from the City Health Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Disaster Preparedness Office (DPO), Task Force Disiplina, Traffic Management Office (TMO), Waste Management Office (WMO), and Philippine National Police (PNP) – Valenzuela, joined the motorcade. These are the same offices which were issued of the new automobiles.
